Whether you’re a homeowner or design professional, our process starts with getting to know you and your project.

In our initial consultation, we’ll discuss:

  • Your unique style and aesthetic
  • Space planning to maximize functionality
  • Customization options and storage solutions

Then we take measurements. And after defining your project scope, we’ll provide a preliminary estimate. Once the budget aligns with your expectations, our design team will get to work!

Finish + Install

Once the plans are approved, our carpenters begin building your cabinets. Every cut, joint, and finish reflects our dedication to exceptional craftsmanship.

When it’s time to install, we’ll contact you to set a date. We’ll remove your old cabinets and put in your new ones – most installations take just 2-3 days.

Enjoy your new Henderer hand-crafted cabinetry!
Send us pictures of your finished project. We’d love to add them to our collection.

Cabinetry FAQs

Our custom cabinetry division only installs cabinetry. But if you are in the need of a more extensive remodel consider working with our team at Henderer Design + Build + Remodel.

If you have an alternate plan for countertops, it should be scheduled for install after your custom cabinetry is in place.

We offer a wide range of wood species for our custom cabinetry. While we can source nearly any wood, the most popular choices—aside from painted finishes—include white oak, maple, cherry, alder, hickory, and walnut. Each of these species has unique grain patterns and characteristics, allowing for a variety of stunning design options.

We build our cabinetry using face frame construction, a method we believe provides superior durability and craftsmanship. Our cabinet cases are constructed from high-quality ¾” plywood, while the face frames are crafted from solid wood for added strength and longevity. Though we specialize in face frame cabinetry, we can also produce frameless (Euro-style) cabinetry upon request.

We use a high-quality conversion varnish for our finishes, ensuring durability and a beautiful, long-lasting appearance. This finish can be tinted to match your preferred color selection, giving you complete customization over your cabinetry’s look.

The timeline for your custom cabinetry depends on the size and complexity of the project. In most cases, cabinetry is delivered within one month of final measurements and design approval. For larger or more intricate projects, the process may take up to two months.

Yes, we prefer to handle the installation of our cabinetry to ensure the highest quality results. If you are working with a general contractor, we can discuss installation as an optional service to best suit your project’s needs.

The best way to prepare for your cabinetry project is to gather inspiration. Photos from magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, or even a friend’s kitchen can help us understand your vision. If you are designing a kitchen, we will need specific details about your appliances, including manufacturer names and model numbers. Additionally, information about your chosen countertops and plumbing fixtures will help us create a seamless and functional design.
